In previous versions of Opera I could drag a tab from one window to another. This only seemed to work if it was the last tab in a window though. If there were two tabs in the window I was unable to move focus from the source window to any others. If it was the last tab though the source window would disappear as I dragged the tab out of the tab bar and it would allow me to drop it into the window below. Now though even that functionality has failed. I can drag the tab and the window disappears but if I try to drop it into a new window it ends up just recreating the previous window. Is there anything I can do to restore this or am I stuck?
Opera does not sync extensions. The guy who started this thread misread the documentation or something.
Nah, it was just a change from what i was used to. In all honesty I didn't use the feature that much as theres no way to switch between windows (that I know of) that works when you have a tab dragged around by your mouse pointer. Since I use Opera with the window maximized that meant I rarely had opportunity to use it.
As for your performance issues, have you tried delete your session files in your profile folder? It seems to help a lot of people with unexplained performance problems with Opera.
What you need is a session management extension. They can keep track of tabs and windows and such and allow you to restore them, even from a crash. Give Session Buddy a shot. You can install it in Opera if you have the 'Download Chrome Extension' installed from the Opera extension store. It works completely with Opera even though it is made for Chrome. I've been using it for years.
Defragging the HD could help. Whenever you get in the market for a new/upgrade for your PC I cannot recommend SSDs more highly.
Sad no reaction from OPERA support
Get what you pay for.
It has everything to do with us helping you though. You are in here acting entitled to support for a product you pay zero dollars for. You are insulting to the people on this board, yet you want us to help you. It seems, in fact, that you are demanding it. The tone of you message is part of the reason why you are not getting any help. The reason being the only way we would help you after acting the way you are is if it was a jobs, which it is not.
V7 Bookmarks adds a bookmarks sidebar to Opera. You can easily search for bookmarks inside of it. It also adds a bunch of other nice features. Finding and organizing bookmarks inside of it is super easy. You can also bookmark pages in it. Just open the folder you want to put the bookmark in and right click the folder and add the bookmark. The one thing you can't do is create/change the bookmarks icon. Other than that it is pretty much perfect.
This is not the suggestion box forum, try there. Also, you can load just about any extension from Chrome into Opera with the Download Chrome Extension. Try that.
Try doing a portable install of Opera on the same system. Does it also have the issue?
Also I cant download any torrent with opera , like it does not have a built in torrent client.
That would be because it does not have a built-in torrent client. The last version to have a built-in client was Opera 12. When they rebuilt the browser from scratch for Opera 15 a torrent client was not included in the rebuild. Not enough people used it.
Some machines have scaling ramped up from the factory. Especially laptops and tablets. Check you scaling settings in Windows and see what they are.
Edge and Opera use different versions of Flash. Just go to the Adobe Flash website while inside of Opera and download it. That should fix the issue.
Using a VPN and using Google is counter productive. The VPN is for enhanced privacy. If you don't want people tracking you, don't use Google.
Your bookmarks are stored in a file named bookmarks inside Opera's profile folder. It is generally located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable. You can confirm this by opening Opera, going to About Opera in the Opera menu, and reviewing the details in there.
I work for an IT company. We google stuff a lot. Even we get crap from google about unusual traffic because of the volume of weird searches. It is probably a similar issue.
