Is that the file in the updatechecker folder?

Not that I know. It's usually in Opera's installation folder.

When I tried it in 38, it didn't work until I clicked on the blue shield as described. Can't say more than that.

Great, I am using the same extension. It was just recently updated. Twice. While some bugs were squished - kudos to the developer since two bugs bugging me very much disappeared - a "feature" was added that auto sorted listed bookmarks. Developer immediately issued a second update with that feature optional.

Update the extension if it didn't already autoupdated itself, and then click the bottom cogwheel button and untick the "Enable auto-sorting" option.

I couldn't find any suitable extension either. Relying on extensions to do everything is a not a good policy.

However, you won't get anywhere by posting in a troll thread like this. Post in the desktop wish-list, which is where feature-requests belong.
