@whisperer Yeah, I think Opera keeps the browser itself and it's bugs first priority. Aria is technically an extension (just a feature) so they probably won't focus on it's bugs as much.

@Victor-022 Not sure if there's a feature on Mac that is specifically for summarizing webpages.

Try pressing CMD + /, then press Tab to use page context, and tell Aria to summarize the page.

What keyboard binding? I didn't know there was one.
Also, are you saying the browser doesn't change themes or the pages you're looking at don't?

The issue is actually a kind of good thing. The problem is that these sites have a messed up (or outdated) version of Cloudflare. If you open the console, you'll see:

This is because Opera blocks cross-site requests to prevent sites from giving your data to other sites. Disabling your ad-blockers won't fix this issue.

The Cloudflare check works in Chrome. This does not mean that Chrome is less secure; it just means that Chrome trusts Cloudflare and made an exception.

Hopefully Opera will do the same soon, or maybe the sites will use new versions of Cloudflare!

In the meantime, there isn't much you can do.

Have you tried using Microsoft Word in another browser (like Chrome or Firefox) to see if the problem is specific to Opera GX? It could just be a bug in Microsoft Word online.

I'm not having this issue in Opera Stable, Beta, or Developer on Ubuntu. I wonder if this is a problem specific to Windows.

I'm using Aria version 5.1 with Opera 114 Stable. The HTML shows this:

If I copy the text, I see this:

Which means that the issue is with the Markdown parser and not Aria's response, as @whisperer pointed out.

@nickfreedy222 I'd assume because it attracts more customers if no account is needed to use the AI. It doesn't impact current users, really, since they still get the same services as before.

I submitted an extension to Opera Addons about 8 months ago. I've been very patiently waiting and still got no response.
Can someone from Opera tell me if my extension can be approved or rejected? I'll provide the link if needed. Thanks!
