First of all, thank you for all the work the Opera team does. I have been using Opera since it was a paid service many, many years ago.
So please... when will the current bookmarks side panel be redesigned?
When will we move on from this:
· Look at all the wasted space where the search bar is.
· The search bar should be able to hide and appear automatically when clicking on a dedicated icon.
· "♡ Bookmarks" (above the search bar) and "Open full Bookmarks view" (at the bottom) both lead to the same location. "♡ Bookmarks" is unnecessary.
· There should be an option to remove web page addresses that appear to the right of bookmarks.
· Why don't we have separators yet?
· The distance between bookmarks should be a little more compact.
· The panel should be fixed instead of alternating between fixed and floating.
· The panel should expand and hide when the browser is maximized by clicking on the left side of the browser. Just like it was done in the old Opera (Presto engine).
· Please, remove the categories "Bookmarks bar", "Speed Dial" and "Other bookmarks" in the bookmarks panel. The different categories could be viewed and sorted from the "Full bookmarks view".
To this (I forgot to compact the bookmarks):
Sincerely and with all the pain in my heart, the bookmarks side panel is horrible. It seems to be designed for tablets. As of today and although it has long been removed from the extensions page, I still use the "V7 bookmarks" extension by @vux777, which I find more productive and visually attractive.
