@mikeua7 Single column view is a feature that is exclusive to extreme mode, it is not available in high mode. If you switch to extreme mode you will both find single column mode and the possibility to disable images completely.

@paulalexi25, could you please let us know what problem you have on zippyshare in Extreme mode? About a month ago we fixed a problem with the download button not being visible on zippyshare in Extreme mode when using single column mode. Is it some other problem than this that you are seeing?

We're currently looking in to problems with inputing certain languages (such as Bengali) in the combined search and address field. But we can't see the problems ourself. So if there is anyone who have problems like this please help us out by giving us some additional details.

What's your android version, what phone do you have, which keyboard do you use and did the keyboard language change automatically for you when changing between the search field and the address field in the old Opera Mini?

@paulalexi25: did you check out the downloads settings page in the latest beta? There is an option for concurrent (threaded) downloads there now. Also you should re-try zippyshare that problem should be fixed by an Opera Mini server upgrade earlier this week.

@benyamin90, @johnht we released an update of Opera Mini today with a fix for the Facebook notification problem. Please update to the latest version and let us know if it works better.

Those of you who have problems with download resume, could you give an example of where it fails so we have something to work with. High/Extreme mode, large or small files, server you download from (a URL to a file that fails would be the best).

When I'm trying to download the following 25 mb file in extreme mode I have no problems with resume at all: http://people.opera.com/barsk/25.bin

@munnakhan01841, is it possible to download files with zero balance from wap.gpstore.co in Mini 12 but it is not possible in Mini 13 beta? I just want to confirm that we're looking for the problem in the right place.

@rhmini When using single column view I can see this problem as well. We're looking into the issue.

@rhmini can you provide a link that doesn't work for you? I tried http://www82.zippyshare.com/v/fZ1mnVBd/file.html and I get a download button, and when I press it the file gets downloaded just fine in extreme savings mode.

@williamwclee what is it in Mini 7.6.4 that makes you use that instead of the latest Mini? What do we need to do for you to start using Mini 13 instead of Mini 7.6.4?

@munnakhan01841 thanks for the report, this is very valuable to know and something we want to solve since it is a very serious problem.

Downloads doesn't work as well as we want them to work in Opera Mini and because of that we have done some bigger changes to how files are downloaded in Opera Mini Beta 13. Unfortunately there are some problems with the new code as you have seen. But thanks to your report and other reports we've gotten we will be able to fix these problems before we bring the improvement to the final version of Opera Mini.

Until we have fixed this problem I suggest that you use the final version of Opera Mini 12 to do your free downloads.

@vjgrace, we've made a couple of Marshmallow fixes for high mode in the update we released yesterday. If you haven't already you should try the update, it should work better for you.

@rhmini, in addition to the icon we've fixed around 30 bugs as well. We can't really introduce features in every beta update we do. If we did that we would never become stable enough to release a final version.

@vjgrace: Are the website rendering problems introduced in the latest beta of Opera Mini or has these pages always been rendered in a bad way by Opera Mini in High/Turbo mode? Since high mode uses the build in WebView component to render web pages, how well pages are rendered often depends on how new the WebView component on the phone is. So sometimes there is nothing that we can do about rendering problems in high mode. But if this is something that has been introduced recently there is a possibility that we have accidentally broken something in Opera Mini and this is something we can fix.

@baunz: I'm happy to hear you like the features, but please be cautious of the "Remove device" option. The text in the confirmation dialog is unfortunately not very good in this beta and it will be updated in the next release. "Remove device" actually removes the device's Speed Dials from the sync servers. This is exactly what it's supposed to do and great for old devices you no longer use. But this also means that if you're still using the device you remove you will remove all the Speed Dials from that device. So this feature can't be used to hide once device from your phone while still syncing it's data.

The time has come for a new beta of Opera Mini 12. Since the last beta, we have squashed many crashers and over 70 bugs in total. And, if you get Facebook notifications in Opera Mini, they will now include profile pictures, so you can see more easily who is sending you a message.

Recently, we unveiled Opera’s new brand identity, which includes a new logo. In today's release, we have updated the icons used inside Opera Mini, but the app icon that appears on your phone will remain the same for now - it will be updated in a future release.

Last week, we released Opera Mini 11 with a lot of improvements. We hope you like it.

Today, we released the first beta of Opera Mini 12 and focused more on under-the-hood fixes and improvements. But, we also included a few visible changes that you have asked for:

• The wait-for-Wi-Fi download dialog provides an option to remember your preference
• When a download finishes, Opera Mini shows a notification on the bottom of the screen and gives you the option to open the file directly
• Context menus on pages look more like other Android apps

@samuraj-jones it seems like AdAway doesn't work together with proxy browsers. Opera Mini is also a proxy browser since all traffic in Opera Mini is passed trough the Opera Mini servers in order to greatly compresses the traffic and give you great data savings.

Today, we released Opera Mini 11 for Android, which introduces a new savings mode. In addition to the traditional extreme savings mode we have introduced a new high savings mode. The high savings mode gives you a full web experience, while still offering great data savings. To enable the high savings mode, just tap the main menu, select Savings mode and choose High.

We’ve also made some nice improvements to the user interface. We have made it a bit easier for you to find your bookmarks and saved pages. Instead of having them mixed in with Speed Dial, there are now two fixed entries above the Speed Dial. The saved pages are now also listed in a full screen list that shows both the name and the address of the saved page.

The tab gallery is another thing that has gotten a well deserved facelift. It now shows bigger thumbnails, and it has a clear separation between private and normal tabs, so it’s easier to find any open private tabs.

2015-09-28 Edit: We did a small update of Opera Mini 11 today that fixes a few crashers and image rendering problems on Twitter in extreme mode.

We made a minor update to the Beta during yesterday with several crash fixes and other important bug fixes.
