Opera Mini 12 beta 2 for Android

Hi all,
The time has come for a new beta of Opera Mini 12. Since the last beta, we have squashed many crashers and over 70 bugs in total. And, if you get Facebook notifications in Opera Mini, they will now include profile pictures, so you can see more easily who is sending you a message.
Recently, we unveiled Opera’s new brand identity, which includes a new logo. In today's release, we have updated the icons used inside Opera Mini, but the app icon that appears on your phone will remain the same for now - it will be updated in a future release.

Hello,
So far I have found 2 websites not rendering correctly with this newly released beta.

Ebay, desktop/classic site(not mobile)...after going into my account, things begin to not work correctly (i.e. not able to open up messages, pages not rendering correctly, etc)

A followup to the above comment recently posted...these issues only occur in high/turbo mode.
I also forgot to mention that when publishing the bug report, hopefully this followup post will be sufficient.

I use Symphony Xplorer W68 handset. I'm facing a problem. In High Saving Mode since Opera Mini 11 to this 12 beta 2. In High Mode when I browse Facebook & if I have to upload a photo, or upload a timeline photo or attach a photo in the facebook bug report, Opera Mini takes me to the Camera app. But I have to go in the Gallery app. There has no options to go in the Gallery. But it is ok in Extreme Mode. Only High Mode has this problem. Would you please fix this in the next update of Opera Mini?

Finally I can remove devices from the sync list and import all speed dials at once... kiddos for that.... still testing the new logo is awesome

Download Resume feature still not fixed. Downloading problem from mediafire.com website in High saving mode also not fixed yet.

@vjgrace: Are the website rendering problems introduced in the latest beta of Opera Mini or has these pages always been rendered in a bad way by Opera Mini in High/Turbo mode? Since high mode uses the build in WebView component to render web pages, how well pages are rendered often depends on how new the WebView component on the phone is. So sometimes there is nothing that we can do about rendering problems in high mode. But if this is something that has been introduced recently there is a possibility that we have accidentally broken something in Opera Mini and this is something we can fix.
@baunz: I'm happy to hear you like the features, but please be cautious of the "Remove device" option. The text in the confirmation dialog is unfortunately not very good in this beta and it will be updated in the next release. "Remove device" actually removes the device's Speed Dials from the sync servers. This is exactly what it's supposed to do and great for old devices you no longer use. But this also means that if you're still using the device you remove you will remove all the Speed Dials from that device. So this feature can't be used to hide once device from your phone while still syncing it's data.

They have occurred in the latest beta and occasionally have occurred in previous betas, however appeared to have worsened in latest beta...ironically after I posted here and subsequently reported the bug the frequency of rendering issues lessened, I don't know how or why, but it definitely gives me incentive to continue filing a bug report when issues arise.

sometimes we need to add a link to the bookmark without actual browsing it.
this is still not possible in this beta.
normally, this is done via right click on the link.
please consider adding this item "add to bookmark" to the right click context menu.

Always Download Speed is too much slow though using 3G connection. Also can't download anything from mediafire.com only in High Saving Mode

Since Version 11, it's impossible to sort saved pages, but this is absolutely essential if you have many pages saved. The best way would be, you could create folders just like it's possible in bookmarks.

Facing Continuously webpage loading problem in Facebook only in High Saving Mode since Opera Mini 11 to this Opera Mini 12 beta 2 & also can't upload any photo from gallery to facebook in High Saving Mode. Too bad. Please fix this issue ASAP

Hello,
On latest beta and having issues with nexus 7 and Marshmallow(android 6). With high/turbo mode nexus 7 hangs when trying to browse any website.
Will file a bug report. I have not had any issues in extreme mode. -

Opera mini is one of my favourite browsers but it misses some features, for example when are you going to add gestures for websites, I loved that feature on Dolphin.
and when I try to make a comment using my Keyboard emojies on facebook it shows a blank comment. why's that ?
and is there an option to change to start page and navigation bar theme and wallpaper ? you need to work on your interface design, it means a lot to some users and I don't think they will mind if the next update will be 2 or 3 MB bigger.
that's all for now, I know if you fulfill my needs and requests you'll get much more users.

Opera Mini has to upgrade the High Saving Mode feature. Because in this High Mode facing too much problem.

Please insert the button "Images out" also in High mode. It would save more data usage.

Is there really any data saving in "High mode "?
Cause on my connection (Asus fonepad 7) is displayed the full data traffic without any saving, when using "High mode ".
But in "Extreme mode" it's displayed the value with data saving, like it's displayed in opera's menu bar.

This is a bit off topic but I really need help. I deleted an extension(TrafficLight Bitdefender) and decided to add it back. Problem is now I can't find it in the Opera app store at all. Has it been removed from Opera? I'd really like to add it back.
