Well, not only we have unwanted bookmark bar entries appearing every now and then but also speed dial entries.
Today booking.com miraculously (and unwanted, of course) appeared in my speed dial (again).
Well, Opera, this is really, really annoying.

Just noticed even more frustrating thing, the screenshot below shows it:
Same shit appeared on my bookmarks bar today. Annoying as hell.
Same thing with pinning the sidebar.
Wake up, Opera and stop doing this stupid things.
Getting worse evry day. -

@yanta Auto-update is not used only to update Opera itself. It can be used to update extensions, ad-block lists and so on.
Aw, c'mon, man! Auto-update MUST NOT update my "extensions, ad-block lists and so on" since i'm not using Opera's ad-blocker.
Every extension i use has its own auto-update.
Also, we saw too many times how Opera disables or completely removes some or all of extensions or bookmarks. -
Sync and all the "joys" around it...Opera for Windows
At first i thought I'll just go and reset my sync because there is loads of old stuff in there which I don't need anymore and I don't want Sync to "serve" it back to me, no sir. That shit already happened and it was a hell of a mess. Took me some time to sort it all out.
Well, after I informed myself on Opera help pages about "Reset sync" I decided to do it since it said it will just delete all my sync data it has stored but it will NOT affect my devices - everything stays untouched, as it is.
Well, that's one big fat lie. The damn thing brought back hundreds of my old bookmarks that I don't need anymore....urghhhhhh!!!!
Sorting it out again. Thanks for nothing, Opera!
Btw, is there a way to remove that sync icon in the upper right corner, on the plugins "bar"? -
Extreme use of resources - Insane!Opera for Windows
Well, this is just crazy. Opera takes up to 4,4 GB of RAM and 20-40% of CPU load with just 9 tabs open. Windows 10, Intel i5, 8th gen, 8GB RAM. Never experienced anything like that before. Opera version : 68.0.3618.63

@nabac said in One page can't be saved as mhtml in new Opera since 13.03.2020:
Hello, I have problem with new Opera builds, I force them to save pages as mhtml by adding "--save-page-as-mhtml=1" to launcher.exe, ...
You don't have to force Opera to save page as mhtml, that feature is still there - latest Opera version.
The page you gave as an example - can't save it either, must be some restriction on their side. -
RE: Exporting Bookmarks and Settings from Opera to Other BrowsersOpera for Windows
@lavanyadeepak-0 "Hekasoft backup&restore" backs up your settings (search engines, speed dial) and bookmarks but does not back up passwords and extensions.
So....still left some job to do after using it.....but it is still a good program - you can also backup and restore a lot of other programs like browsers, Mozilla Thunderbird, Skype, uTorrent and so on....
You could try it. -

@deestonic There are already threads on that issue, don't take someone else's unrelated thread and post in it.
I didn't find a thread on that topic.
And your answer would be the same even if I opened a new thread with my problem.
Why don't you just transfer my post to that related thread, you're the moderator?
What's the use of moderator if you are just bitching around? Better do something instead. -

RE: Gmail - This Site Can't Be reachedOpera for Windows
Similar situation. I go to gmail - ok, try to open contacts there - can't open that page, too many redirects. That is if I'm lucky.
Most of the time I just can't open my gmail in Opera.
It just says:This page isn’t working
mail.google.com redirected you too many times.

Everything works fine in Mozilla FFox. -

@sing9942 said in Import former Opera bookmarks to new computer:
I can view the old Opera bookmarks page, but I am unable to create an HTML for the bookmarks. Is there any way to import the old bookmarks?
If that means your old computer is still alive and you can use it then try this:
http://www.hekasoft.com/hekasoft-backup-restore/
One click backup and restore for a bunch of programs.
