I'm not sure what "other applications" you are refering to but I can access websites using MSN and Internet Explorer's browsers if that is what you are asking.

Turning off the firewall didn't change anything but . . . when I turn off the turbo setting the problem goes away and when I turn it back on the problem returns.

Turbo is meant for people on metered or extremely slow internet connections. Think phone tethering or dial-up. Things like flash objects are made click to play because of the large bandwidth they generally require. In this case it is not a bug or a problem, but is working as intended.

But the "Webpage is not available" thing is not exactly about that: Turbo means your traffic proxied through a certain server abroad (where the data are compressed), so it might be you have some technical blocking or jamming along that route.

My error, the problem is still with me only now only part of the time. No it's not the firewall.

I've also found this to be a problem, especially Yahoo seems to have this issue a lot.

The issue seems to have gone away therefore I'll call it good for now. Thanks to all of you that offered advice.
Cheers.
