The first Opera developer 31.0.1857.0, the change log,
and the announcement\m/
"Today we move to version 31 with our new developer 31.0.1857.0 build. So far weโve enabled Encrypted Media Extensions like Widevine DRM, while the rest of the features is hidden behind flags (happy hunting!). We will provide more information as we move on further into development of Opera 31.
Our changelog shows all the fixes and improvements, the biggest change being the bump to 44 version of Chromium as it always is with new Opera. After this major change, first developer builds can be more prone to cause some issues that you should be aware of:
Known issues:
-
Some internal pages canโt be accessed, e.g. Print, Discover, Private window landing page is displayed incorrectly, Private window theme is missing,
-
HTML5 videos are crashing renderer when using MSE".

Great, now I can use Opera again. The issue I reported here, and also encountered with Opera 30 beta, has finally been fixed (now using Ubuntu 15.04).

Great the speed dial came over from Opera 12.17 100%, the other versions seem to Auto generate 3 copies with missing items, I see that 31 has now has a manual import, but the max columns is stuck on 6, when its set for 9, why cant I have 8 like in Opera 12 ?
Cant stand the New UI to changed it back with the Flag.
So any way to get 8 Columns..?
Thanks
Its the speed dial that turned me over to Opera so please don't stuff it up.

Hi @zipdisk: if you want, then you can go to the Settings > Start Page, and set the desired value for the "Maximum number of columns", and then go to the Speed Dial, and press "-" key (or Ctrl+Minus, if you don't enabled advanced keyboard shortcuts), as many times, as it's needed in your case, to see the desired number of columns (you can reset it to default, by pressing Ctrl+0)

I have problems with tab.favIconUrl with this build. I can verify it with mine and V7Tabs extensions.
It happens almost on every website, icons are undefined (empty)! -

It happens almost on every website, icons are undefined (empty)!I managed to get correct favicon, I just have to delay for 1 or 2 seconds, but that sucks. Definitely something is broken.

New Opera developer 31.0.1876.0, the change log, and the announcement.
"Letโs start with under the hood stuff. Chromium has been updated to version 44.0.2398.0. We have also fixed the print preview page and the annoying MSE bug with YouTube crashing like crazy is also gone. If you are interested in a detailed list of changes and fixes".
New style of controls and buttons
"The change that will be most noticable for you is the brand new look of our Settings page, to be even more precise: buttons, search field and other controls on these pages."
New Discover page
"Another change worth mentioning is the redesign of the Discover page. Now its style is aligned better with the rest of our Web UIs and it has some nice animations when switching between the news categories. Settings for Discover now has their own section, instead of a dropdown menu from previous versions."
It seem, that it was worth to wait a bit longer, the build looks is more stable than the previous one, and what makes it even more useful to me, it's the possibility of adding the hotkey to hide/show the Bookmarks Bar: opera:settings/configureCommands > Show bookmarks bar
By the way: if you want, you can disable the new style of controls and buttons: go to the browser:flags#tools-custom-controls-style, select "Disabled" from the drop-down, and restart the Opera.

and --disable-gpu if black screen is shown, and then in settings disable hardware acceleration

Anyone else having problems with https://html5test.com/ ?
โTest has failed: Failed to read the 'sessionStorage' property from 'Window': Access is denied for this document.โ
Same in a private window (= no extensions enabled). Same with the previous build of O31. Ubuntu 15.04 64-bit.

Rather a cookie-specific issue. :XP:
I missed that Opera was set to block cookies. Sorry.

I am playing with Windows 10, Installed Opera 12.17 so that I can get my Speeddials imported to Opera 31 that also is installed.
Opera 12.17 is install as a 64Bit version and Opera 31 as a 32.?
The Windows 10 file structure of Opera 12 is different that of Windows 7, I am using Windows 10 as a dual boot system.
So how to I import my speeddial.ini into Opera 12 running Windows 10..?
Every thing I tried dose not seem to work..
Thanks

There is no 64 bits version of Opera Blink (Opera 15+) for Windows.
So how to I import my speeddial.ini into Opera 12 running Windows 10..?
Paste it into Opera's profile folder. Check Help > About to see the path.

I cant get Opera 31 in Windows 10 to see Opera 12.17 so that I can import the speeddials
I think may be as Opera 31 is on 32Bit and Opera 12.17 is install as a 64B system.
Is there a x64 Opera 31..?
I now have the full speeddial.ini installed into Opera 12.17 and working
Any clues
Thanks

Read my previous post.

Ah, so this is your problem. Well, try set Opera 12.17 as your default browser then run Opera 31 to see if it helps.
Maybe you will need to reinstall Opera 31.
