How to turn off speed dial in opera website browser?

Hello I am new to the community so please try to be kind, I am looking for advice on how to turn off speed dial in the latest Opera website browser, it's very frustrating and I wish to have the freedom to change the default start page to my default search engine.

1. open settings (Alt+P)
2. right on top in the "On startup"-section choose the 3rd option ("Open a specific page...")
3. click "Set pages" and enter any page you want

Thanks for trying to answer my question Christoph142 but what I am asking is how to change the start page from ever opening at any stage, not only on startup. When I click a new tab I wish to open a tab that simply has google everytime.
