You "well done!" was taken from mailboxes! A large number of different alerts, newsletters, contacts and much more was linked to my account on myopera.com. and now this?! Check my mail back!

I like the way these forums are quickly filling up with spam...
And spam was ostensibly the reason for closing MyOpera...
... yet it already seems much worse here with only a fraction of the users MyOpera used to have!

We've only known for five months now that the MyOpera community would be dismantled. Stickies were placed over the forums announcing this and giving us all plenty of time to make the transition to other mail clients as well as export our blogs and photo albums.
I'm sorry you've waited so long to act but I fear it might be too late now.

I am in a similar situation. I had uploaded many photos to "Photos" section. Now are they really gone. Is there any way to get them back?

No, that was one of my own stated reasons for why I won't be sad about My Opera going away. The main spam problems was with user blogs and blog comments. The forum spam on both My Opera and here pale in comparison to the spam problem on blogs. -

It would be nice to get the old info back. Every Google search I do to find Opera answers takes me the new forum minus the info. I need an old answer for how to fix the stupid:
"It appears another Opera instance is using the same configuration directory because its lock file is active /home/"your profile"/.opera/lock Do you want to start Opera anyway?"
Google cached mode lets me get some but not the answer I'm looking for.

You can use archive.org or google.com with "cache:" command.

Any time I had a question about Opera, I'd search through the old forum. <sigh> Since I won't be using the newest version of Opera anytime, I guess these forum are of no use for me.
