Opera 28 Login Data

I have been trying to transfer my Opera 28 settings to a new computer using this http://help.opera.com/opera/Windows/1583/en/solutions.html#backup
Transferring the favorites.db file was no problem but I am having problems with Login Data. The file has copied ok but the passwords are not showing when I go to the relevant web sites. Is it anything to do with the Login Data-journal file?

I use a password safe called KeePass. It allows you to export databases and do all sorts of other nice features. Its free and can even perform auto-typing to log you into a website. Its not as convenient to use as any web browsers built in login saving but its got a lot more features and you don't run into these kind of problems with it.

Thanks for the info about KeePass. I already use it and would be lost without it! It's a great prog!
I find Opera's Wand/Login invaluable for sites like this and have got at least 50 addresses in it. Look like I will have to manually input each of them again. I didn't have to do it with the old Opera Wand file.

I wrote a tool for precisely this purpose. Version 0.01 isn't as perfect as I imagined, because of a stupid mistake on my part, but as long as you don't change the export file, it will work just fine. There are no security issues that I am aware of, it just doesn't (yet) support changing the export file. I am testing a version now which can do it.

It doesn't work for Opera 30. Because in newer versions of Opera this file is still present, but the passwords are not there anymore - they are stored using the encrypted password storage provided by the system.

Tried the updated version? See http://www.pepak.net/download/chromepass/, where it says version 0.02.
