Problem viewing YouTube videos. (HELP)

  • I recently downloaded the newest version of OPERA which I enjoy however there is a problem that I have been having for awhile now when I attempt to watch a YouTube video.

When I try to view a video, there is this large ARROW that appears and I am told to click to ACTIVATE the plugin. After I do this... I have to reload the page to see the video. I can watch the video but every time I visit YouTube I have to do this. It's not that big a deal, but Opera is the only browser I use where I have to keep doing this.

Can't I do something in settings or something so as to not have to continually do this? Again... this doesn't happen on any other browser. I hate to have to use other browsers just to easily watch YouTube.

    Thanks

    DAVID

  • Disable Turbo if it's on.

  • Did you set opera://settings/?search=plug-ins to click to play? Create an exception to allow youtube.com.

  • Thanks... For the suggestions. Disabling TURBO did the trick. No problems since. This begs the question, is OPERA TURBO a good thing to use? I don't have the most "stable" Wifi signal around. In general... is TURBO worth it on connections that are not the fastest?

    Thanks again

    DAVID

  • Turbo may be useful only if you have a very slow connection or a very limited one.
