Heh, it's been re-renamed back to "Turbo"?
Nope, Off-road and Turbo are two different things, you can take that mot à mot as for "final step to replace Off-Road mode with Opera Turbo". Now you can't ping opera mini servers with "debug:" URL.

Does Opera Turbo Mode do less compression ?
I was comparing Opera 26 Vs Opera Beta (as of 04/02)Opera 26 off Road Counter is 1.0 MB / 5.8 MB
Opera beta is Turbo Mode counter us 2.7MB / 6.3 MBSame websites.

Does Opera Turbo Mode do less compression ?
Yes but it preserves compatibility and functionality in webpages much better.

With Opera Turbo you also make full use of the local cache so the savings is really higher than what's reported.

... and is more safe than before using Turbo mode set to low quality, previously those snappy adware redirections occurred more frequently especially with this configuration.

i dont know is it my new phone with quad core and 1gb ram- 500mb free space... opera working great i cant remember when is the last time i saw yellow cat crash.. and tabs are not reloading i can work fast with couple of tabs.. i recommend people to use classic layout with mobile version and text-warp ON..
text warp is working so good you should put it ON by default -

So what we're talking about if I recall correctly is SSR, or Small Screen Rendering which was a feature in the Presto layout engine. It was a lot of heuristics and tricks to try to mangle your web page into a single column of text... intended for the days when phones could just display a couple of lines of text.
Adding that to Chromium would certainly be possible, though I don't think it would be worthwhile. We have text wrap which essentially achieves the same thing but much better IMO. SSR would probably not behave very well on a modern web page. -

For some reason Opera warnings are not activated on latest Opera 28. URL example html6test.com (unsafe). Opera Mini shouldn't resolve this URL either. Currently I don't have latest beta installed on my device so I don't know how it works Turbo2.

You mean the SSL warning? Works for me as long as you enter it as an https-address.

Yes, right. Previously some Google ads were blocked on oraexacta.net so I was under the impression that protection was disabled, https part was omitted...

@ppgghhjj no it works better just save less.. its more compatible and if you need more save than try opera mini or set images in low quality and add opera max .. this is full browser and if we need to choose between compatibility and more data save im sure that compatibility its priority for users. so new opera turbo is much better than off-road mode.. example pages like Facebook gmail youtube and newspapers are better for reading and navigate.. on off-road i had problem to use much pages.. Turbo2 is new and will be better in future and it will save more.. i like it and this is direction that Opera team will be working and develop in the future.
