New forum up and running!

It is alarming that the Opera team chose to discard previous topics regarding issues and problems, feedback etc. for Opera Mobile when migrating to the new forums.
Tons of messages with wishlists, pleases for fixing of longstanding bugs, etc. have all been removed and are no longer present.
These old postings contained valuable information with regards to what users wanted most and which things they were most desperate to see fixed. Given that many bugs that cause serious annoyance on a regular basis to users never get fixed, combined with the removal of all related postings on those subjects, it would seem that the Opera team still has not learned how to care what the users really want and need - something I have long seen as an ongoing problem. I see the culture has not changed. What a shame.
What would be useful about these posts? If they were confirmed bugs or popular requests then they already have read it and noted elsewhere. The correct place to report bugs is in the bug report wizard, not in the forums. They were useful because it allowed people to add their voices to the bugs which were affecting them. Given that sending bug reports doesn't seem to get them fixed month after month after month, having an ongoing thread where people could add their name to the pile of those wanting it fixed might have gotten the point across that it was indeed something Opera should get taken care of. Unfortunately there are some negative users on the forums who seem to respond to every topic and have something to say about any type of complaint against Opera, so I wouldn't expect any longstanding issues to be fixed anytime soon if that's the sort of attitude that prevails here. What a shame, because Opera is already a wonderful Android browser. I can only imagine how awesome it would be if some of the reported bugs were taken more seriously.
This will be my last comment on this subject, since it's clearly still a waste of time to hope for glaring issues to actually get fixed.
To anyone reading this who notices bugs or usability issues in Opera: SEND well written BUG REPORTS to the Oopera team.

And we are still free to do it, you can add your comment to an existing thread or start a new one if you want.Unfortunately there are some negative users on the forums who seem to respond to every topic and have something to say about any type of complaint against Opera, so I wouldn't expect any longstanding issues to be fixed anytime soon if that's the sort of attitude that prevails here.
LOL do you think that affects anything? A bug report is a bug report regardless.
And there's no need to drop a hint at me, as it makes no sense, because I myself have also commented about various bugs and annoyances in the past that are still not fixed.Threads regarding Opera 16 were imported. I doubt bugs from Opera 14 or 15 are still relevant, they were either already fixed or of low priority for everybody. If there are still bugs don't worry, people (including myself) will comment about them again and again.

So as mentioned earlier the old forums were closed down because of spammers. In that respect these new forums are far far worse. I will keep looking at them, but in their current state with so much spam, the difficulty in finding relevant posts among the wood, and not being able to 'mark all as read' they are virtually unusable.

@davews
Spammers are the smallest problem for Opera Welcoming Committee in this forum and so it was for older one. Besides, if you will keep looking at them then them may looking at you. The idiom "be that as it may" as a rule has a general purpose in any forum. -

@tempatwisatamurahdibandung missed some letters. There shouldn't be a limit for usernames? 10 it's a max for a 240px width display, enough to be narrowed with posting hour. -

No, as I explained, spam is one of the reasons I personally don't think closing My Opera as a whole was a good idea. The forum spam on My Opera was quite insignificant compared to the blog spam.If you compare My Opera as a whole to the new blogs and forums, the spam problem has nearly vanished.

And I can't edit my post...
I wanted to add, I don't get any formatting tools when I compose posts. I'm not sure if it's because here are no tools, or if Opera 12.16 is incompatible with the Opera forum...

All bookmarks are broken. They just lead to the main forum page. Sad.
You mean your bookmarks? Well, My Opera no longer exists so the options were to redirect to the new forums or just display an "address/page doesn't exist" message.
I think that the first one was the right choice.

There are no visual tools (ATM), but you can format manually in markdown. -

I think that the first one was the right choice. They moved all content to the new place, and I think they also should keep a directory of the old data so that they could redirect to it. Not just send all requests to the main page.

The new look is very too extra simple. Its coding ain suitable for Opera Mini 4.5, can't go about all services....

The arrogance of Opera astounds me. I also lost my Blog and all the images that I had posted, yes I had backups but all the work in formatting and arrangement is now lost. The pitiful support for retrieving content was as good as useless. The guidelines almost non existent and the solutions abysmal I tried downloading in the format given for Wordpress and all I got was text I could have just copied and pasted to a new blog of my choice, which would have been blogger, but after wasting so much time with the totally useless so called support I gave up and started from scratch. After years of convincing others to move to what used to be one of the best browsers, built in mail client and the superb Notes feature, all now gone from the latest version that now resembles a cobbled together copy of Firefox, I nave now got many people asking me what to do about their lost content, I have no solutions for them. I am appalled by the attitude of the once fine folks at Opera and in future will recommend people to avoid it like the plague. You guys really suck.
