Im a huge opera GX fan since its early days. Best stable and reliable browser ever..

And i am an absolute Tab hoarder. Its normal for me to have over 50-80 and sometimes over 120 tabs open. And my Tab order usually goes by "Topic", like.. If im into Github apps and open alot of tabs.. Tabs related to what i was doing are one after another. And then, maby i start researching guides on a game i play, and open lots of tabs about different guides i want to follow..

Problem is.. When i want to go "back" to a "Topic" i was doing a few days/weeks before.. I have to click into lots of tabs that are not related.. Like.. I want to open tab nr20. I dont count them 1.2,3,4,5.... I click on maby.. 27.. And then one by one, track back. So i find where the "Topic" Cut is....

So i want to suggest... The ability to add a "Color" block/line under a tabs "icon".. Where a "New" Or different "tab group/topic" Ends/starts... I have created a Quick and simple example in paint with a few tabs to illustrate what i am looking for as a suggestion.OPera.png

@blaQQx Why don't use tabs islands, workspaces, open different windows?

@leocg Opening multiple windows and managing that with window switching is too much hassle. Workspaces seems fine, i will start using that for longer term saving of some topics.

With tab islands and workspaces while actively pausing and re focusing them introduces alot of unneccecary juggling. Like, actively switching between boxes, you dont really close them and put them away each time you look in another.

What im suggesting is a non submenu workflow. Navigate to left plane - open menu - manage workspaces - add more., edit.. Not what i want to do constantly and then end up in workspaces i have not filtered out junk.

i actually used "tab saver" addons before most of them bugged out or got broken.

when researching lots of subjects in a topics and lots of topics i effectively open lots of tabs before i read in them at all... And many times.. Those initial tab openings can lead to new ideas to research..

just right clicking the tab, "color sub meny, yellow" ads an easy, effective and quick cut point.. Later, when reordering tabs - like tab 54 moved next to tab 22 and tab 24 and 25 exited, because they are good together - would be simple..

Can create workspaces, after that 🙂

@blaQQx Thanks for suggestion. Try tab emojis. You can enable them in Early Bird.
