lost all my history and tabs after new windows install

so what happened is my drive somehow broke and i had to make a new windows install. and when trying to use the opera sync i accidentally deleted the synced data because i didn't remember the pass phrase. Now the thing is i do have the opera GX files from my old pc backed up on a drive. But when i try to replace the current files like bookmarks and sessiondata, they just get deleted and don't do anything. what did however work were sessiondata from 3 years ago, i have no clue how that works :DD.

@Croiasan You should be able to replace the Bookmarks file.
Session files may be a problem since they are connected to a different Windows installation.
