lost all my history and tabs after new windows install

so what happened is my drive somehow broke and i had to make a new windows install. and when trying to use the opera sync i accidentally deleted the synced data because i didn't remember the pass phrase. Now the thing is i do have the opera GX files from my old pc backed up on a drive. But when i try to replace the current files like bookmarks and sessiondata, they just get deleted and don't do anything. what did however work were sessiondata from 3 years ago, i have no clue how that works :DD.

@leocg hey, i tried that but it didn't work, and when i looked at the bookmarks file in txt, it didn't have any of my saved bookmarks, only the default pinboard stuff.
Also the way my opera folder is structured is pretty weird, there is opera gx stable which is the more recent and then there is opera stable (which contains the empty bookmarks file).
I managed to get a bunch of older tabs (up to 2025) from the opera gx sessions folder, also there is a default folder under opera gx stable which also has sessions folder but that gave me nothing. It's pretty weird that the bookmarks and history aren't saved in the most recent "profile"? of opera gx
