Music Player not detaching/floating and not reaaly working with Spotify

Has the feature of the floating pallet been disabled from the sidebar? Also although I can connect to Spotify, but it doesn't work in the sidebar. Opening it opens a new tab for logging in, but doesn't allow me to play from the side bar. Other sites Deezer/Soundcloud do connect in sidebar but there is no longer the floating pallet.
