Dear Opera Team,
I am a loyal Opera user and appreciate the excellent design, smooth performance, and built-in features your browser offers on Android. I especially value Opera’s built-in web page translator, which is very convenient for reading global content.
However, I have noticed that the current built-in translator does not support the Sinhala language (සිංහල), which is spoken by millions of users in Sri Lanka and around the world. Sinhala is the primary official language of Sri Lanka and is increasingly used in online content, including news, social media, and academic websites.
Adding Sinhala language support to Opera’s web page translator would be extremely helpful for Sinhala-speaking communities who want to seamlessly browse and translate web content. It would improve accessibility, user experience, and expand Opera’s appeal across South Asia.
Please consider including Sinhala in the list of supported languages for your built-in web page translator in future updates. It would be a valuable and much-appreciated addition for many Opera users.
Thank you for your time and for your continued innovation.
Kind regards,
[A dedicated Opera user from Sri Lanka]
