How do I disable cashback?

@leocg I closed Opera, opened the link in my email to your post, then opened Ebay, then settings to check. Look:

I don't have the cashback extension, this is a new installation of Opera. Never sure what that was for anyway, it seemed to duplicate everything.

@hucker I also checked with version 119 and the cashback badge is not appearing if cashback is disabled in settings.

@leocg I fixed it. The switch seems to have some crumbs stuck in it or something. I turned it ON, restarted Opera, cashback still there. I turned it off again, restarted Opera, button gone away.

@leocg P.S. why do all the emoticons in here look weird - is it because of dark mode? (testing) No, they're just odd. There seems to be a few standard ones mixed in, but a huge number of useless ones. They're supposed to show an emotion, like confused, surprised, etc.

And I couldn't edit the last post, I got a red error box bottom right!

Does anything work right with Opera?

@hucker Kinda off-topic, but check if Force Dark Pages is enabled. If so, right click on the page and disable it.

@leocg It may just be Opera uses weird emojis which aren't like I see elsewhere. Can you show me a screenshot of your available emojis please?

Those are not normal emojis I see anywhere else. Are they from this forum? From Opera browser? Are they different to yours looking in the same place because of dark mode?

Thank you, you really helped my to get rid of that annoying button. I've had reinstalled my windows 11 and keep the old files of opera and probably that is what bugged my browser

If it worked all by itself I would use it, but user interaction just to save £0.02 what's the point?
