Disable all extensions

hucker last edited byIs there really no button to switch all extensions off for testing if they're interfering with a webpage?! I know there's a command line switch but that's ridiculous. I know I can turn every one off individually, but then I have to remember which ones were on when I reenable them!

You can create a new shortcut to opera.exe with the --disable-extensions command and name it "Opera - Safe Mode" for example. That will be it faster and easier than typing out the command. You can add --disable-gpu and --no-experiments too if you want or have a separate shortcut for that.

burnout426 Volunteer last edited byYou could probably write a script to paste in the console of the dev tools when you're on the opera://extensionspage to through the page and click all disable buttons and then another script to do the opposite, but that'd be no fun.

burnout426 Volunteer last edited byYou could have a separate standalone installation just for testing (with no extensions instead and maybe even a separate shortcut for it that uses --disable-extensions to rule out any of Opera's built-in extensions).

hucker last edited by@burnout426 I'll just use the shortcut for now. I'll suggest they put such an obvious feature on a more friendly button....
