Blank URL Suggestions List

Lately I've seen that when I start typing in a URL the suggestions list that drops down is often (but not always) empty. See attached screenshot. I only downloaded and installed Opera just a week ago, and it's already started to act weird like this. Is this normal behavior? it's rather disconverting.

Additionally, the file browser feature in Opera which lets me upload files has also stopped working today. If I click on any "upload" button in Opera, absolutely nothing happens - the only way I can upload files now is on websites that support drag-and-drop.
I don't have any addons installed.
Running Opera version is118.0.5461.41 on Linux Mint Linux 5.15.0-56-generic x86_64
Any ideas?

@zap250 Is it empty though, or something you can't see? If you hover inside the dropdown what part(s) highlight?
If you're using a strange theme the background and text might be the same color - until you hover something. Alternatively it might be trying to use a bad font where the characters don't display.
As large as your dropdown is, it is not empty. There is something there, even though you can't see it.

@sgunhouse It's completely empty, even if I hover over it. Interestingly, if I then delete the URL I'm entering and start entering it again, on the second try the suggestions list will usually appear.

@zap250 I started to have the same problem, 118.0.5461.60, Linux Mint (Cinnamon)
