Why some images are compressed by Opera Turbo but some not ?

  • This happens many times, when I visit a web page some images on the same page are loaded through Opera servers (Opera Turbo) and others are loaded uncompressed. And I am not talking about .png images I know they are not compressed to preserve the transparency in them (.jpg, .jpeg only) . This increases the page loading time since I am on a slow internet connection.
and I think this happens with large images.. because most of the time they are uncompressed. Is Opera programmed to leave bigger images as it is to save cost on servers etc. ??
