Adding New Web Page To A Specific Folder In Bookmarks

And....?/
What do I do when I "choose the folder I want?"
So, first I have to open the Opera Tab, then I have to choose "Bookmarks" (or cntrl shift "B"), then I have to click on Unsorted Bookmarks, then I??? do what?? I have tried right clicking etc, there is no function that I see that simply allows me to stay on the page I want to bookmark, and click like I did in O12 to add a bookmark, why does it have to be so arcane?? It almost seems as if Team Opera is trying REAL hard to make things difficult.

I really don't understand which the problem is. You're asking for a way to add a page directly to a specific folder in bookmarks, right? I'm giving you the answer...
- Click the ''Heart Button'' (to the right of the address bar).
- Click ''Unsorted Bookmarks.
- Pick the folder you want to bookmark the site.
- The page is directly added to that folder.

I HAVE used the Heart menu, when I arrive at the new page I want to be bookmarked the heart icon is grey, but if I click on it, I get a drop down that shows "Unsorted Bookmarks" which is where the new bookmark gets placed. However I have deleted any folders from the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, and I want the new bookmark to go someplace else.
In O12, if I click Bookmarks in the menu bar, I get ALL the possible folders that are available for me to place the new bookmark in. In O26, I cannot arrange my bookmark folders LIKE I want them and then have a single click take me to ALL of the folders from which I then choose where to put it. it seems O26 INSISTS that the first folder that is an option is the Unsorted Bookmark folder, and I want THAT click to take me to my Imported Bookmark folder that is NOT in the Unsorted Bookmark folder.
The bookmark function, as I said here, is VERY arcane...and please do not say to me "He's never used the Heart menu. He hasn't seen that "Add bookmark" dialog" because you do NOT know that at all.
Still looking for an easy answer to my original query.

And where in your first, or even second post did you mention that you HAD used the heart menu ?, exactly. So what is anyone suppose to glean from this if such things are not mentioned ?.
That is why providing as much detail as possible about a particular problem is so important. People here are not there with you, they can not see what you see, they have no idea what you did or what happened or the outcome.

Well, I appreciate your help.
I have found an extension that manages Bookmarks far better than the intrinsic one in O26.
I've been a loyal user of Opera for years and years, mainly because of the logical method and application of it's functions prior to the current Chrome based version. I have been trying VERY hard to move over from 12 to 26 and like I said, many of the intrinsic functions remain arcane.
i'll deal with the bookmark issue by myself, as many here have had to do.
Carry on!

Then, first of all create a new folder. Click ''New Folder'' in the dropdown (see the 2nd image above), name your folder and click ''Add''. NOTE: The folders shown under the ''Unsorted Bookmarks'' dropdown are NOT sub-folders.
