What is "Sync with Opera" supposed to do?

I've running copies of Opera Beta 27 and Opera Mini Beta 8 on two different Android phones. I'm signed into Opera with the same user name in all four Opera installations. Sync doesn't seem to be doing anything. All four Opera installs have only the bookmarks and Speed Dials that I've saved in that copy of Opera.
Isn't Sync supposed work like Opera Link and keep bookmarks and Speed Dials synchronized across all my copies of Opera? It not what exactly is it supposed to do?

Well, funny that new accounts based on beta link sign-up are workable on other platforms but not with an username in this forum or e-mail address registration.

Syncining between Opera Adroid, Opera Mini and Opera Desktop is unstable, currently not working for real-life use.

@christoph142 Oh yes, Opera Link is reworked soon. I hope in near future, not in years.
My experience with Opera Link in 12.x days was: not working stable and fixes of Opera servers with Link issues waitung until new Opera Browser.
Now im only hoping to get working Opera Sync/Link, not waiting.

this is unfair for some of us who don have PC's for opera link.opera.com exporting to new redesigns
