Opera One and could not connect to multiple sites because they had an "insecure connection" while accessing the exact same site on Opera GX says the connection IS secure and loads it perfectly fine. I've tried putting in an http:// before them, changing my settings to allow malicious sites, and allow/dont allow secure connections. Why is this happening on 2 browsers that are just slightly different variations of each other?

@eegar Opera GX uses a slightly older version of Chromium (you can see the respective versions listed in the Help > About Opera page). Chromium will warn you if parts of the page (images, etc.) use a weaker security than the page itself. You could override this in site settings, but if this is a public site that's not recommended.

If it doesn't work in Opera One then it also shouldn't work in Chrome or Edge, so they'll need to fix their site.

@eegar In Site Settings. If you are at the correct address, then click on the icon in front of the address and an information pop-op should appear with a link to Site Settings in it. When Site Settings for that site is displayed, scroll down to Insecure content and switch it to enable.
