Hello,

I need to regain access to my Opera account, I can't because I lost access to the two-step verification access codes.

Can someone help me please.

I can't get support with Opera.

@maicou42 Regain access? Might be possible but would require resetting the account and hence losing all data stored there.

@maicou42 If you don't have access to the app used to enabled 2FA in your account and also don't have the backup codes that were given to you when you enabled the 2FA, you probably won't be able to access your account.

@maicou42 The way would be someone from Opera to reset your account, but for that to happen you would need to prove that you are the real owner of the account, what may be kinda difficult.

@maicou42 How would you prove? There is no information there, if I remember correctly, that could be used to prove that you is really you.

I had the same issue as you. I found out that the backup codes (if you downloaded it) is automatically titled "backup_codes", check to see if you still have that file downloaded. If so, try one and enjoy getting your account back!
