The problem occured in opera browser version 36.0.2130.80 for windows xp 32 bit.
Antivirus off, adblock and plugins absent, clean installation, normal and private windows tested. Result is the same.
Game name is heart of galaxy horizons.
The game works in more modern browsers but I need to extract my savefile before migrating to them
The link to the page:
https://armorgames.com/heart-of-galaxy-horizons-game/18455
The game worked perfectly and then stopped. Right now there is a blank black screen in place of the game window. Html5 content from other web sites works. There is sound from the game but the screen is black. The devs claim they didnt change anything neither in game nor on web site.
Hardware acceleration is on.
Clicking on black screen leads to another page on armor games site. I think that the game screen is covered by the broken screen that was showing armor games logo because that logo acts as a link to that page. Usually the screen with logo will play the short video with swords and shield and then dissapper, but it looks like it is stuck on the first frame of video where the logo is still not visible, hence the black screen and its behaviour on click.
The interesting thing about this problem is that it happened before and just as it began for no apparent reason, it disappeared without reason too last time. So this is the second time I am seeing this problem.
Sometimes the advertisement before the game will load and sometimes it wont. This behavior is variable and i dont know what affects it but the game consistently loads as black screen but there is an ingame sfx playing at fixed time intervals. This sfx corresponds to autosaves so i know that there is a game behind that black screen. It is running and it keeps autosaving as usual, i just dont see the game window.
Can anyone look into this issue?
I will gladly provide any additional info to solve this problem. -

@alex36xp There's something peculiar with that site. The https link you posted pops up in various browsers as "Not Secure" or "Not fully secure" or "Unencrypted connection", even though the connection shows as https and the site cert shows as valid. Apparently, the site server is unable to successfully establish an encrypted connection for some reason. Whether or not that relates to your specific problem, it implies something is out of kilter with the site... or just plain sloppiness on their part.
