I posted in a discussion recently where someone asked about Opera's servers. Not knowing the servers, I merely posted the RIPE range Opera has - 141.0.8.0/21. That discussion seems to have been "disappeared". Is that somehow a taboo topic? If so, it seems rather unreasonable to me, as Opera's IP range is public info (c.f. RIPE's whois).

I'm a lot surprised and a little disappointed. Or perhaps vice versa.

If it is taboo, no one told me. Beyond that ... as yours wasn't the first post, if the whole thread is gone then probably the first poster was banned. But not knowing more, that's all I can say.

For sure it's not a taboo and not a secret information, as everyone can just open Opera Mini and go to some site to check IP address. It is however bad idea to use this anywhere, as it may change in the future.
