Guys! I have found Opera GX's splash up screen annoying, but I never turned it off because I wan't too bothered by it. But today, I open it up and suddenly, The splash up screen starts as normal, before showing two crosses going through the logo, and then a video of a red-suited man pops out, Yelling: Oppperraaa GXXXXXXX. I've tried everything to try and remove this splash up screen now. Its Not going away! I can't find the files, I turned off the splash screen option in settings and I turned off the feature from opera://flags. I don't know what to do. Make this crazy dude go away pls.

Having someone scream the name of the browser I use every time I open it has to be a joke right? At least let me turn it off.

So i just got jumpscared by an opera GX starting screen.
I was opening it with my younger sibling to watch youtube as normal but then the splash screen showed the Opera GX logo with dead eyes and a mouth, then there was a man with a bleeding nose.
Does anyone know about it, cause my sibling is scared.

Today Opera GX updated, so when i started it, it pops up the splash screen, that has this guy screaming ,,Opera GX" in my ears. Not to mention, it appears every time I open Opera GX. Anyone know how to disable it?

Avid user of opera gx, I've enjoyed every bit of it. Even the splash page. except for today. Today for some reason the splash page has been replaced with a gif of some guy screaming "opera gx!" in the most obnoxious manner possible. Picture below
Naturally I found this to be really annoying and tried to turn off the splash page and of course i can't. Is this some kind of weird Collab or should I be concern that I got hacked

If you wish to remove the current Opera GX splash, when you boot up Opera GX, then here is how to do that: As of right now the best fix to remove the startup splash, is to go opera://about, scroll down and copy or remember the installation path, right here: After this you will have to close opera, so either copy and paste the installation into a text editor app such as notepad ++, remember it, or take a screenshot of it. Open up file explorer, or whatever file finding aplication you have. ^(app looks like this on Windows 11)
Then you need to follow the instalation path to where it says to go, if you are using Windows 11, you will need to go to This PC^(looks like this on Windows 11)
then follow the rest of the path out from there.Once you get there you will have to find the file called, "opera_gx_splash.exe" if you are using file explorer you can just search the whole folder:^(looks like this)
then delete this file.IMPORTANT NOTE: IF OPERA GX UPDATES YOU WILL PROBOBLY NEED TO DELETE THIS AGAIN.
If this does not work then this information is outdated.

What's that Opera? You want me to use a different browser from now on? Well, if you insist.
(Btw, fire the smooth-brain that thought this was a good idea.)
