Eric André and Opera GX bury boring browsers in chaotic rampage

I cannot imagine how something so annoying was a smart decision from a business stand point. I really like this browser, but I literally woke up my kids from a nap with the unexpected screaming and am now in a really sour mood. I am betting they will be walking this decision back within 24 hours, otherwise suddenly they are going to lose a lot of ad revenue.

Please remove it on the start up. It hurts my ears so bad and lowering the OperaGX volume in the volume mixer doesn't work. Please allow us to disable this in the settings. It's a horrible addition

Get rid of the Eric Andre plash screen. No one wants him screaming the at them when they open the browser. Whoever suggested this as a good idea needs to be fired.

What an absolut idiotic idea. I get screamed at by some talentless clown everytime I open up the browser? And you do not even provide the option to disable this annoying, far too long, stupid intro.
Switching the browser. Holy sh*t what a dumb idea…

Yeah so this sucks a lot. I get that it might have been funny the first time, but I've booted up Opera GX a few times today and the same stupid screen over and over again with the loud sound effects and no opt-out is actually freaking wild. I'm trying to study and get stuff done for finals, not get yelled at by someone who hasn't been funny for like five literal years. This came flying out of left field, considering the regular boot-up sound is already loud enough.

@whatisthisshit: I absolutely agree. I dont need an unfunny comedian yelling at me every time I open my web browser. I was looking through the settings trying to figure out how to disable this shit. They need to give people the option whether they want that or not. I dont like Eric Andre, and I dont need him on my web browser. i'll go back to FireFox while they continue to have this dumb shit flooding my browser.

i turn on my computer in the mornings for working at home and walk away to get ready, i was home alone and this scared the crap out of me and not in a funny way. Suddenly a loud male voice in my house? And somehow I thought it said "You've been hacked" so I thought something terrible happened to my pc! Thanks a lot. There's a way to do something funny without causing problems. Something visually funny. Or If you want to do sounds at least do it like Discord, or something pleasant. Or let this be something on the homepage/ a theme for people to choose from etc. This has super pissed me off and I may have to switch back to Chrome now.
