Security Patches Update & Latest Supported Version

Hi, which versions (starting from 68 until 103) of Opera still get the security patches updated by the developers? Also, where can I get that information regarding the period of updating a version?

@xenia123 Opera is not like an OS, they don't extend support on old versions except in cases where version x is the last version to support an old OS. That is, there was some extended support for the last version that would run on Windows XP for example, but now that Microsoft itself no longer supports Windows XP Opera doesn't update that version either.

A note of explanation may help with understanding what is going on with most browser security patching. In chromium-based browsers (Opera, Edge, Vivaldi, etc), most of the Internet-facing technology lies within the chromium engine. That engine is maintained by the Chromium consortium and is re-released periodically with security and feature updates for incorporation into the various chromium-based browser makers' products. Since nearly all security updates involve internet-facing technology, most 'security' updates are made by the consortium and go into that chromium engine, along with any functional changes the chromium developers may make to their engine.
When a chromium engine update occurs, browser makers eventually incorporate it into new browser versions (which may also receive various feature or bug-fix updates as well). That incorporation involves testing for ongoing chromium-compatibility with the browser makers' GUI and user-function overlays (and adding "fixes" if needed), as well as the recompiling of the browser code prior to release.
However, all that effort cannot be economically applied backwards to old versions - nor will those old versions necessarily even be compatible with all the accumulated changes made to chromium engines since those old versions were first released. Hence, once a new browser version is released, it generally remains what it is for all time thereafter.
