Automatically open torrent files

  • I'm debating switching from Chrome to Opera, but Opera seems to lack certain functions. They appear to have just fixed the ability to import bookmarks, which I appreciate.

But I'm finding it very frustrating that when I click on a torrent link, it downloads the torrent file, and then I have to click on it in the download tab in order to actually start the download. I can't figure out how to automate the process. And I can't find an add-on that does it. And it seems there's no way to change the configuration files either.

Any idea if Opera will implement this fairly basic function soon? I just can't see myself going through this for every torrent file.

    Thanks!

Based on previous comments, it won't come in a near future. But things can always change.

For now you can use an extension to pass the links directly to your BT client.
