Automatically open torrent files

I'm debating switching from Chrome to Opera, but Opera seems to lack certain functions. They appear to have just fixed the ability to import bookmarks, which I appreciate.
But I'm finding it very frustrating that when I click on a torrent link, it downloads the torrent file, and then I have to click on it in the download tab in order to actually start the download. I can't figure out how to automate the process. And I can't find an add-on that does it. And it seems there's no way to change the configuration files either.
Any idea if Opera will implement this fairly basic function soon? I just can't see myself going through this for every torrent file.
Thanks!

For now you can use an extension to pass the links directly to your BT client.
Or just click the Magnet Link...

easy to fix stop clicking download links for torrents and start using the Magnet link instead it'll ask what you want to do save or open click open then tell it to use your torrent program and tick always do this for this type of file
