Hi,
does somebody know how to show the X to close a tab everytime? Actually it is necessary to move the mouse over the tab which is not possible on tablets. Or Opera One should detect tablet mode in Windows....
Cheers,

Its not only Tablet mode - I got regular laptop with touchscreen and I also hurt from missing x (got to long press, then click close tab)

Touch seems not the focus for Opera.
- Close Tab issue (X)
- No support for JavaScript like e.g. Safari (Mouseover support for Touch…)
- Better Gesture Support like ‚back‘ and ‚forward‘.
Like Opera but with my small Windows Tablet and large laptop with touch I will perhaps go back to Edge…

The missing "X" on tabs is the main reason why I reverted back to version 99: my primary pc is a MS Surface Pro.
Also: moving tabs using touch is not possible since version 100.
Please make Opera touch-friendly again.

@nirott not Edge!? But, I feel ya.... I am also likely going to have to go back to a more standard browser if I can't manage tabs quickly and easily. Seems like the Opera Dev Ops team thinks everyone leaves all their tabs open all the time... maybe they haven't heard of History? If you can find a way on thos forum to escalate this issue back to #moderator or #OperaSupport - please advise. -- I have fought hard to keep my Opera browser and now they've pushed me toward Edge?!

@bws-chicago Moderators here are volunteers and can't promise anything. A report on the bug tracker is best, but I can try to bring it to their attention.

@bws-chicago Found a somewhat temporary solution. The extension "tab to window" creates a button on the top right when pinned. By touching it, it pops the tab out to a window and then you can close the window. Still have to do an extra touch, but it’s a bit faster than a long touch to bring up the menu and avoids accidently touching close all. I was bringing up the touch keyboard and using Ctrl+W to avoid accidently touching close all, but that was just as slow as a long touch and it was still a lot of extra unnecessary touches.

Good news everyone! [insert Futurama reference here]
The "X" for closing the active tab is always visible in the latest developer build (not just on mouse over).
Please make it always visible on inactive tabs too: I'm used to close inactive tabs using touch.
