@dudubroering Then there is no solution, because the only way to have workspaces using different data would be by changing the profile directory when changing the workspace.

Just created my account here to suggest the same thing as @dudubroering. It would be a thousand of times more useful if we have an option to choose not to share sessions, cookies and accounts between workspaces. Or even if we could choose what to sync between workspaces and what to not.

@lukcramos The only way for doing it would be by launching a new instance of Opera for each workspace, what wouldn't make sense and would just break the concept of workspaces.
Like I said before, what you want is support for different profiles.

I came here to say what @dudubroering said. I feel like at a minimum being able to have different bookmarks would help a lot too, in my case where it would be better to be able to have to "accounts", but I could get by with one and just island out how each workspace works in my account. Would make workspaces fit into it's own name a bit more than right now I feel.

@leocg You use the word profile which to me means like an account. This is all one person, but workspaces treats groups of tabs with a label. Why can't that apply to speed dial? A group of workspaces under one profile, a group of speed dials under one profile. It's all the same.
Have you fscked your local propeller head today?

@mryanmarkryan2 Your data is stored in a directory, that is called the profile directory (check opera://about for the path to it). The only way to have a different speed dial, bookmarks, accounts logged in on the same pages, etc is by having different profile directories.

@leocg granted I’m more a 3D software guy, not a developer so I do have limited knowledge. But it really sounds to me it would still work the way you describe it, rather just laying out the file path to split within the profile directory depending on the workspace.
Similar to how programs have different layouts you have within one directory and it just branches the layouts within the file path. Another example is plugins too now that I think of it, If you’re in that plug-in folder it will find corresponding elements within there but can also change to a different folder for different ones within the master plugin or in this case within the profile directory. -
