    Opera GX causing other drive to go up to 100% usage and causes freezing

      So lately what has been happening is I'll just be using Opera and randomly everything starts slowing down and becomes laggy. When I check task manager, Opera has it's disk usage at 1%. Because I have three drives, that means it's using 100% of 1 of them. Opera is installed on my SSD not my HDD, yet my HDD is being used up completely. It's so annoying and it happens all day, everyday.disk usage high.png disk usage high 2.png i got these screenshots while i opened one new window, the lag lasted for about 25 seconds and it was lagging not only the browser, but the whole pc.

        @katsikopoylos Both the installation and the profile/data directory are on the same disk?

              @leocg my install is on my F ssd, the profile and the cache is on the C ssd, where i have windows. Only my D is an hdd, the problem.

                        @katsikopoylos Enable the PID in Windows task manager. Then, in Opera, go to menu > Developer > Task Manager (or use Shift + Esc) and try checking which process is using the disk.

                                @katsikopoylos You need to compare the info in Windows task manager with the one in Opera's task manager as I said, and enabling the PID column in Windows task manager allows you to do that.

                                So, basically, you expand the Opera GX process list in Windows task manager and check the process that is using the disk mostly and take note of its PID.
                                Then in Opera's task manager, you check the process ID column to identify what is the process with same number of the PID.

                                  @leocg oh, i get it. I checked it and task manager reports that it's the PID 2212 (Opera GX Internet Browser) and Opera's task manager says that that id is the browser. 6b108f8f-d758-49bc-8f77-7e752308e7f9-image.png 405f840f-3dd0-4d40-84e3-871bd528a0fc-image.png i couldn't make it lag as much this time but you get the point.
