VPN badge Not showing in address bar

Hi, Just downloaded the latest update, VPN not showing in the address bar as before. I have to go to settings to toggle on/off. Take note it was on already. It comes on then goes away again when I put my PC to sleep. And I have to go to settings again.
Next grumble, Who the hell put in the AI Crap. every time I right click to copy I have al that AI prompt crap come up. I will have to see if I can get rid of it in the settings.
Also Have you noticed that in report a bug, you can't just report a bug, you have add attachment's and screen shots, otherwise you can't submit your report, what a pain.
I have to say Opera is getting worse and more glitchy, I now prefer Firefox but it doesn't have a free VPN.
Thank you. -

@robkw Same here on the Linux version of Opera. You have to turn the VPN on in Settings to make the badge appear and after disabling the VPN using the badge the badge vanishes, the VPN remains connected, and to get the badge back in the address bar you have to turn the VPN off in settings and turn it on again. It was the same in Opera One when I checked that browser out. Surely this must be an easy fix. Opera users are going to be disappointed if they can't turn the VPN on and off without having to go to Settings. I also find the AI novelty annoying and useless to me as a serious grown-up Opera aficionado; I see no real point in AI built in to a browser when you have to create accounts and log in to third-party systems from inside Opera Opera to play about with them. Come on, guys. Letting bugs like this remain unfixed for ages is bad for Opera's reputation. On Linux the window geometry still isn't being saved with Opera always opening the same size in the middle of the screen; if you close it maximised it doesn't open maximised. Things like this make me start to consider Vivaldi as a viable alternative.

@nuiin Hi, the AI stuff you can get rid off in settings. Before the update the VPN Button was always on showing next to the padlock in the address bar. It was very handy right there, now its gone and as you say you have to go back into settings.
Also I did mention months ago to the Opera team about removing the option to have to add a screenshot or attachment before submitting a bug report.
Also I did ask for a handy update where by in the remove individual cookies-which is a pain as you have to remove each one, there could be a system where by you could select via a tick several cookies at once to delete. But perhaps they can't do that as its based on Chrome software and might be unchangeable. As a whole I like Opera-apart from the odd glitch. -

@robkw Thanks! Good suggestions. I really love Opera and have used it for years but as more and more features get added more and more glitches seem to be appearing which don't get fixed which is irritating and not what I've come to expect from Opera developers. I only usually use stable releases but more and more "stable" today seems more like what was "developer" yesterday. Hopefully things will improve. If you need a free VPN to use with another browser check out Proton VPN; it's free, fast and has a really polished Windows client. Cheers.
