Default open opera on startup

For some time the default action when starting Win 11 22H2 has been to open the Opera browser. It seems that opera creates a start up instruction in the start up folder. If I delete it then it is recreated the next time I open Opera. I do not want to open Opera every time I start up and I have to spend time closing it down before continuing with what I want to do.
Is there a way to prevent this default action. I have searched settings and
opera:flags. Although I have used Opera as my default browser for several years I will uninstall it if I am unable to defeat this process so that Opera only loads when I want it to. -

@alanchippy Did you check the On Startup section in settings page? What about Easy Setup?

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Sorry for late response from me but I thought I would get a notification if there were any replies. I had not set the prefs correctly.
I did look at "Startup" and think I have found the reason. For some reason "Run when my Computer starts" was ticked. I always set opening page to "about:blank" so how it was changed I do not know, probably due to the sync function I guess. Anyway it seems to be OK now so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Regards Alan
