Passwords manager don't show passwords

I've been using Opera on my MacBook for awhile. Both are up to date.. It is saving and using saved passwords, but the Password Manager in Settings does not show any saved passwords in the spot that says, "Saved Passwords will be shown here". How can I view my saved passwords and edit them if needed? Monterey 12.6.5

@b4man Each time I open Opera, ALL the passwords previously saved are gone! I've done the fixes offered in other threads, and they don't change the situation at all... I'm about to just give up on Opera.

@stevenjcee Thank you for responding. At least I don't feel alone. You would think Opera would give a fix!!

Did you already tried the solution in https://forums.opera.com/post/302140?

@leocg Nothing so far has worked, and I just updated to the more recent version of Opera. I keep hoping against hope that one of these updates will actually contain a fix for this frustrating issue.

@stevenjcee I got desperate and deleted Opera then downloaded it again. No luck.

@b4man I've tried that, too, along with other suggestions I've read elsewhere, and nothing has changed, still the same maddening bs....
