Is Signing out the only way to turn off sync?

Soon as I turned on sync and set what items I wanted synced, Opera constantly freezes and stops responding! I've had to constantly force quit Opera, as it will freeze almost as soon as I reopen it! When I try to quickly open the preferences to shut it off, I don't see any option but Sign Out. Will that sign me out of Opera, or just Sync?

@stevenjcee What do you mean by "sign me out of Opera" ? You logged in to Sync, so if you logout then you would be logging out of Sync.

Anyway, in sync settings you should be able to just turn synchronization off.
