Import wand.dat from opera 12 to opera 25

Hello,

i had to reformat my pc and i have installed latest opera 25.
I have the ols wand.dat file backed up, how can I import it in the new opera?

Reinstall Opera 12.17, replace its wand.dat by the one you have, reinstall Opera 25.

If everything is ok, your passwords will be imported.

You need a little more than the wand.dat file ... the file is encrypted, you need the key stored in your certificate file as well. So I hope you backed that up too.

I still have opera 12.17 installed, but opera 26 doesn't list opera 12.x in the import dialogue. How can I import my passwords from the 12.x?

If you have set a master password in Opera 12 you have to start Opera 12 and deslect use of Masterpassword!

In Opera 26:
Alt P
Browser
Button Import Passwords and Settings...
Select Opera 12.x
Select Items to Import (select only one!)

I have no master password set in opera 12.17 and in opera 26 under import there is no opera 12.x in the drop-down list.

Opera should have imported your data on install.

Your 12.17 is x86 or X64?

I don't have the import from Presto Opera either in Opera developer 27.
I've always thought that this is possibly because my Presto Opera is a standalone USB install.
Is yours?

12.17 x64 ... and I didn't import on first installation.

That's it. It seems that Opera only imports from x86 installs of Presto and if it is installed in default folder.

You can try this but note the warning and i'm not sure if it still works.
