Opera GX - History recovery

I have the entire original install saved from before doing a windows reinstall can i somehow launch that and make it come back with all the history ect? Cause there was alot of important stuff bookmarked and in history that I need back for work

@llst778 If you were able to keep the user account, everything would be fine. If you had to recreate your user account, any encrypted data will be unreadable. Not certain about history, but cookies and passwords are encrypted.

@sgunhouse yeah I did manage to get back most things with the account but it still didn't keep alot of it as in the histry/bookmarks didn't fully comeback, the bookmarks did but the ones that came back are ''older'' then the ones I remember having, can I try to sync data again with the opera account? Just to see if that will bring more things back or is that a 1 time thing?

@llst778 Sync should be ... continuous, I guess. For some reason it can take time, as in your data doesn't all appear as soon as you turn it on.

@sgunhouse I do have a file with All the old bookmarks still saved, and its readable, as in i can go into it and see all the sites, links and what they were named any way to import this in?

@llst778 You should be able to replace the new file with the old one, if you haven't added anything you want to keep.

@sgunhouse Yeah after a bit of back and forth, with the browser just writing over it, I did manage to get the bookmarks and history back, the passwords are lost I guess since I can't seem to find my original opera password, but atleast I got everything else working, thanks for your help!
