Hello, I had a problem with the Passphrase, I know but it didn't appear as before in the Opera options, so I went to my profile and put Reset Passphrase. Now I wanted to enter again and they are all deleted, that is, I don't have the hundreds of Bookmarks, I can't download what I had.

@op-sebastian When you reset the password you reset Sync, there is no way to access the data without the password.

I have the username and password and also the Passphrase, you added this in the advanced synchronization option. With the new Windows and the new Opera GX that field was not there, I am talking about the field for the Passphrase, and within my profile in the cloud I saw that everything was there, but when I was missing that field that was above the options to synchronize everything, Personalize Synchronization or not synchronization, I saw the Passphrase reset in my profile so that I did not have it. That's when everything that was in my profile was deleted and Opera synchronized the new and it comes by default and not under what I had in the cloud, that is, the passwords and Bookmarks that I had. As if the cloud were erased and started over instead of just erasing the Passphrase.

I need to recover what was lost in the cloud and only you can do it, I don't have a copy. The Reset Passphrase can only be used while inside your profile, that is, knowing the username and password, now I added a 2-factor password and I just wanted to delete the Passphrase.

@op-sebastian Not me, I'm just a moderator. I suspect not anyone at Opera, as they were never able to read your data in the first place. If you have no local copy on any of your devices then it is probably gone.

@op-sebastian The lack of a place to input the passphrase is a bug that is being fixed.

When you choose to use a passphrase, your data is encrypted locally and uploaded to the sync server, so Opera doesn't know your passphrase.
So when you reset the passphrase, the synced data in the server needs to be also reset because it becomes unaccessible.

Once the data is removed from the server, it's lost for good.

@leocg You are telling me that I lost everything, more than 200 links and passwords. Since they may not be able to recover a backup on their servers, recover 1 file that was overwritten or deleted and that should not occupy less than 1 megabyte.
I don't have it in another browser either because I tell my clients to use Opera. But it is a disservice by Opera, since the mistake was made by you. And when they put a passphrase, let them inform you that you are not only going to reset the phrase but that everything will be deleted.

@op-sebastian The data was removed from the sync servers but they are still in your devices, unless you have removed it from there too.

@op-sebastian It's up to the user to set up and use a passphrase. And in the process of resetting the passphrase, it's said that the data will be removed from the servers.

@leocg Having a copy on my devices, it is not an option that I could achieve since I had the new Windows, and the Opera just installed, I needed to download the data from the cloud and that was when it did not show the option to add the passphrase and reset it . I thought they would have 1 backup copy on their servers, now I know that it not only resets the phrase, but also deletes everything you added for years. Thank you also for being attentive and for the information.
