Hey @marcusguilherme ! I reported as a bug to Opera staff. Got a response saying that they are aware of this bug and are looking to fix it.
Prolly soon we'll have a new update to save us from looking at an audio bar for minutes straight.

@leocg It's not, actually. I used to do that while using on w7 but after I change to w10 and installed Opera again, this happens.
It's supose to keep playing the audio if you close the whatsapp side bar to check other tabs. It's annoying to have to keep sidebar opened to listen.Ps.: if you don't use sidebar WhatsWeb and use it on a regular tab this bug won1t pause the audios.

If you're experiencing issues with videos or audios not playing in the background while you switch tabs or use other apps, it could be due to the settings of the specific website or application you're using. Here are a few suggestions to help troubleshoot the problem:
Check website or app settings: Some websites or applications have settings that prevent videos or audios from playing in the background or when the tab/app is not active. Check the settings of the specific platform you're using, such as LinkedIn or WhatsApp, to see if there are any options related to background playback.
Try a different browser or app: If the issue persists, try using a different browser or app to see if the problem is specific to the one you're currently using. Different browsers or apps may have different capabilities when it comes to background playback.
Use browser extensions or third-party apps: There are browser extensions or third-party apps available that can enable background playback for videos or audios. For example, for YouTube, you can try using extensions like "Enhancer for YouTube" or "YouTube Playback AutoHD" which provide additional playback options.
Keep in mind that not all websites or applications support background playback, as it can be dependent on their design and functionality. Additionally, certain platforms may have restrictions in place for copyright or other reasons.
Overall, it's recommended to explore the settings and options within the specific websites or applications you're using, and consider trying alternative solutions such as different browsers, extensions, or apps that may provide the desired background playback functionality.

@gekamon it's not any of that... but thanks for trying.
It's an Opera bug. -

hello everyone, today Opera updated me to Opera One, the groups of tabs that have inserted Chrome style are very nice, it's a pity that listening to audio from whatsapp while the tool bar is closed is still not working, what nerves. Let's hope they fix it as soon as possible..

I also had many problems with whatsapp in the past. I recommend you to change and use gbwhatsapp. It's really much better

I've switched over to Edge since it's also Chromium-based and doesn't have this sidebar issue.
