Can you keep using Opera on Windows 7 and 8.1 since Microsoft no longer supports them?

Does someone with an older version of Windows need to take action to stop Opera updating? If so, how is that done?

Nobody forces you to use any Win10 features! Browser can work on Any Platofrm! (even in Win95) Or at least work for Years on Win7. What the hell you need from Win10 what is not achievable on Win7? Welcome to share!

@letmein3-0: Sadly, Chromium does force (The browser engine which powers opera browser), so, its not the fault of opera, but rather on chromium.org (mostly funded by google) who took this dumb decision.

@letmein3-0: yes it does kinda (its brother oses posready 7 and server 2008 r2 does recieve which somehow can run in 7). But microsoft doesnt want you to believe in that truth and obv is desperate to force newer pcs and win 11 on all. Opera cant be blamed here, but rather the fault of Microsoft and Chromium.org.

Opera page wont load. I had problem with wifi got new wireless LAN adapter. I now have internet again. Can open other browsers but not Opera, I have Windows7, All instructions I find talk of clicking on opera settings etc. I can not load the page to click on anything in opera.

That's the price of switching to chromium, now the developers have lost control of their product, how nice. I wonder what the fox and others have there.
The opera is going downhill, I can’t even log in to these blogs, I just hooked up through an ancient player account. auto-update is tightly broadcast in processes and is killed only by hands
