How do I change associations with programs in Opera Mail?

I accidentally associated a file type with the wrong program, and ticked "don't ask me again". How do I get rid of this so I can put the correct one in? Or is there a way to get it to just use the windows associations?

For Opera itself, you can look in handlers.ini in the profile folder if it's present. If handlers.ini is not there, you can look in operaprefs.ini.
If nothing there either, then you need to do it in Windows. You can right-click a file, choose "open with", and choose the app you want (or browse to an app) while checking the "Always use this app" box. If necessary, you can go in the registry and change the file association.

@burnout426 I couldn't find either of those (and not sure what you mean by the profile folder). But telling Windows to use Powerpoint to load pptx files seems to have done the trick. Somehow I installed the full version of MS Office including Powerpoint, yet Powerpoint never got an icon in the start menu or the relevant associations. So a MS bug.

not sure what you mean by the profile folder
"Menu -> Help -> About Opera Mail". The Preferences path for operaprefs.ini. As in, the profile folder is the folder operaprefs.ini is in.
But, glad you got it sorted out.
