@ziggythezog this thing is happening to me too and I use normal Opera. When I searched on my Youtube History I found a bunch of Indian videos and that scared me out cause Iām not watching these kind of vids. If you found a solution let me know.

Some Chrome users are reporting that it's happening to them too. So, it's probably a Youtube issue or a generic Chromium issue. If that's the case, the only way an update of Opera would fix the issue is if it's a Chromium issue that's fixed in a new version of Chromium that Opera includes in an update.
I haven't been able to reproduce this problem in Opera myself.

I found that this issue only happens when more than two tabs are open including at least one tab with YouTube open. It doesn't matter what kind of other tabs are open, if only one of them is YouTube, then it starts playing videos. This issue rarely happens with just 1 or 2 tabs open. It's only when I exceed that number. I think it's also worth mentioning that sometimes the audio of these videos doesn't even play on a YouTube tab, but on a completely different tab like Twitter or Gmail.
If it's a Google-related issue, I hope they're aware it exists since this seems to be a relatively new issue that not everyone is experiencing. -

@sheisbrooklyn if you have a whole gaming browser than you most likely have multiple tabs open, no offence to your comment or anything but i personally have a Lot of tabs open at once

Yes, me too. A youtube video sound started playing while i was registering on this forum to respond xD. For me, Everything you've mentionned is also true for me, but for one exception/a detail to clarify ; The videos's sound start playing even if there is no youtube tab currently open.
Generally the problem bothers me when i'm watching Netflix, and the sound goes away when i click on another tab, or after waiting for a bit. I hope they fix this. -

I am a chrome user and have been having a similar problem for at least 4 months. First, I realized random videos from all over the world in my watch history that I never clicked or saw before. When I clicked them I saw that they had been liked by me. Even when I am actively watching videos on youtube these weird videos are being added to my recent videos/history. I tried to clean viruses, send e-mails to google and youtube but none of them didn't worked. 4 months later, random videos still appear in my history, some are liked and some are disliked by my account. And for about 3 months, random voices from different videos interrupt my tabs. Even when there is no video in the tabs they still get interrupted by these
youtube videos/voices. I don't know how to fix this and gave up on trying . Please let me know if you have a solution. -

Same thing happens to me, opening Opera Task Manager (Shift + Esc) will show various youtube tasks and ending these tasks will solve the problem, temporarily. Also, i noticed that some videos (specially random music videos) are liked by my account. Running a malware scan returned nothing.
Here is a list of my extensions:
- Universal Bypass V13.15.2
- Dark Reader V4.9.58
- Ghostery V8.7.4
- Pop up blocker for Chrome - Poper Blocker V5.8.6 Build 2
- Return Youtube Dislike V3.0.0.6
- Slick color picker V0.21.1
- Steamcito: Steam con impuestos Argentina 2022 V1.21
- Tampermonkey V4.16.6160
- You(Tube) don't stop! V1.1.0

Post about this happening in Chrome here that you can follow to see if they find a solution.

User in that post has the "Return Youtube Dislike V3.0.0.6" extension. Another user in that post said Dark extensions (maybe Dark Reader in this case) causes this issue.

@burnout426 sorry for the late response, unsintalling "Return Youtube Dislike V3.0.0.6" and Dark Reader had no result. Also I tried uninstalling "You(Tube) don't stop! V1.1.0" without any luck

There is what I can only assume to be a bug with Opera GX that has made me switch browsers entirely. Seemingly randomly, Youtube videos in my history and home page will begin playing audio in the background of the browser, with no tab as a source to close.
On my headset is a button that I can press to play/pause videos currently playing on my PC. So when this bug occurs I press once to pause the ghost audio, then another video's audio will begin playing immediately after. Only after I pause the second video with my headset does it stop, but the bug will continuously occur so long as Opera GX is open. I cannot seem to find any pattern at which this bug will occur, it will simply happen at some point if the browser if open. Not only that, but after the bug occurs when I check my Youtube history AND likes there is a chance that it will be filled with completely random videos from different languages. A fresh install of Opera GX does not resolve the issue.
This has made Opera GX absolutely unusable as someone who has used this as their default browser for two years now. I can only hope this gets resolved at some point.

Has been showing some strange videos, which I have never watched and don't even know about. The videos mostly come from languages: Arabic, Indian, Malaysian and other languages. Besides appearing in the history, it appears in my like playlist.
It has been showing up since October 04, 2022.
Sometimes my browser starts playing videos from youtube (videos from channels I watch) when I am browsing a site and they appear without the videos, only the audio. This may have something to do with it, but it has never played any videos in other languages or unknown languages.
I am afraid that I have been hacked (I have already changed my password and it is still like this) or that I have some kind of virus.Photos of the event (recent)
Pictures of the event of the videos occurring on the sites:
(I was playing a youtube video at the moments, being the audio from a channel I know)Photos of the event (07/10/2022):
Precautions I have tried and failed:
Reinstalling the Browser (Doing so decreased the amount of videos in the history and playlist);
Delete the cache and cookies system (doing so decreased the amount of videos in the history and playlist);
Change my password (doing so decreased the amount of videos in the history and playlist);
Scan for viruses [Avast Premium and malwareByes];
Specifications:
Browser: OperaGX (Occurs in other browsers like chrome and edge)
PC: Windows 10
My google account safeguards: Google Authenticator, two-step verification, and most other safeguards.I don't know if it is browser or youtube problem and want to know which one this problem is coming from

@directdev If you had looked around you'd have seen other threads about this topic already, including the fact it has been reported in several other browsers (including Chrome and Vivaldi).
One step you didn't try was disabling extensions or testing with a clean profile.. Since the activity seems to be part of a scam to inflate views/likes on Youtube it would suggest some sort of trojan, most likely a Youtune-related extension. But no one has actually verified which extension it is yet.
