Can't uninstall Opera

When I try to uninstall Opera I receive a prompt "Insufficient privileges to install in chosen location" (or something like that, I'm translating from my national language).
What can I do know?
I don't see any uninstaller in Opera folder.
As far as I know it's not possible to run Windows Settings with elevated permissions...

You can do a manual uninstall if you have to.

Delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\OperaStable". (Delete Operabeta, Operadeveloper and "Opera GXStable" ones in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes" too.)

Delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\OperaStable". (Delete Operabeta, Operadeveloper, and "Opera GXStable" ones in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes" too.)

But I'd like to now why it happens? How can you break the uninstaller so that it doesn't work?

Opera behaves as a malware...

I have this same issue!! There is absolutely no reason I should have to manually uninstall. The frustration with trying to uninstall it has completely gotten rid of the "maybe I'll reinstall it later" thought, as this is just ridiculous. It should not be this difficult to uninstall a program.

I can't uninstall Opera 100. It's ridiculous.

@burnout426 Same thing as before. I've got an error "Insufficient privileges to install in chosen location". I've got admin account, UAC disabled, never had such pronblem before July 2022

Same issue if you open a command prompt and run the following?:

"C:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe" /uninstall /runimmediately /deleteuserprofile=0

(Adjust path to your launcher.exe)

Same issue if you open a command prompt as Administrator?
